Working in Italy!

Well, now I am already in Rome, exactly for 23 days –from the 5th of June to today which is the 27th of June – with  millions of anecdotes and amusing situations! Yes, boring situations also happen when you think of it, but I can talk about them on another day as I can talk about all the places I have visited on another post. Today I am going to talk about the activities we carried out in these 23 days.

Well we are on the 6th of June! I think talking about how I emptied my suitcase is not so entertaining! That day we went to do the paperwork to have residence permit in Rome for these 2 months and get our transportation card and also –why not?!- to be selected for the Italian National League?! 😀

Well once the paperwork was done, it was OK to check the day out! Then that week we were told about what we would be doing in the project and our general programme. The first and second weeks was dedicated to activities to get to know each other better among the volunteers, as well as other people who are part of UILDM. If you check the photo, you will see one of the activities we did was to get in line –without ever getting out of the line!– in different orders based on our names, our darkness of our eyes, size of our feet, our height…

After the first two weeks were over, we began to work on our project as we began to interview different people, to participate in the radio show talking about the project, to go to different places in Rome selected by the people that we interviewed to realize the interviews, and in the end to come back to the office to edit the videos. There was also time for other activities such as when we went to Villa Pamphili park to have a picnic playing different games. Then another day when each volunteer presented their own country to all the office. I think that I did my part very well for Spain and in a few months the hotel reservations in Spain will all be booked!

Last but not the least, not all the jobs were in the office or doing interviews, as you can see from the phote, eating a big pizza with 6 volunteers yesterday was also a hard job!

Until next time, the prossima giornata più e migliore.

Adrian
